El corazón del devoto rebosa de amor por el Señor mediante el recuerdo constante y la recitación de Su nombre. De este caudal de amor surge la devoción. Quien se nutre del néctar de la *bhakti* (devoción) no sentirá deseo por ninguna otra cosa. Permanecer imperturbable ante la alegría o la tristeza, la ganancia o la pérdida, la alabanza o la crítica, y mantenerse firme e inquebrantable en la fe: he ahí el sello distintivo de la verdadera devoción. El afecto, el apego y el deseo son cualidades naturales del ser humano. Cuando estas cualidades se dirigen hacia Dios y la persona se dedica continuamente a realizar buenas acciones, dichas cualidades adquieren pureza y carácter sagrado. Entonces, el hombre no solo se convierte en un gran ser, sino que puede llegar a ser divino. El devoto es plenamente consciente de que el universo es una manifestación de lo Divino y está impregnado por ello. Su vida se fundamenta en el reconocimiento de la inmanencia de Dios en todas las cosas. Este estado mental se denomina *Prema Advaitam* (unidad en el Amor). A través de este amor, el devoto experimenta su unidad con lo Divino. Al disfrutar de la bienaventuranza de esta experiencia, el devoto ni siquiera anhela la *moksha* (la liberación). El amor incesante por el Señor lo es todo para él. Tal devoción se conoce como *Ananya-bhakti*.

What is total devotion to the Lord? How does it progress? Bhagawan lovingly explains today.
The heart of the devotee flows with love of the Lord through constant remembrance and recitation of His name. Out of this stream of love, devotion emerges. One who is nourished by the nectar of bhakti will have no desire for anything else. To be unaffected by joy or sorrow, gain or loss, praise or blame, and to remain steadfast and unwavering in faith – this is the hallmark of true devotion. Affection, attachment, and desire are natural qualities in man. When these qualities are directed towards God and when one is continuously engaged in good deeds, these qualities acquire purity and sacredness. Then a man becomes not only a great soul but can become divine. The devotee is ever conscious that the universe is a manifestation of the Divine and is permeated by the Divine. His life is based on the recognition of the immanence of God in everything. This state of mind is called Prema Advaitam (unity in Love). Through this love, the devotee experiences his oneness with the Divine. Enjoying the bliss of this experience, the devotee does not even desire moksha. Unremitting love of the Lord is everything for him. Such devotion is known as Ananya-bhakti.
